Latin American Economy classes

The economic problems and successes of Latin America, and especially the situation of Argentina within that context, are examined from historical and contemporary perspectives. The roles of foreign corporations and organizations, trade agreements, debt burdens, and institutional policies are studied and discussed. This course option will give students an introduction to economic and commercial vocabulary in Spanish, at the same time that they are learning something about Argentina 's current economic situation. If students are interested in only a brief summary of the topic, they might want to choose the Argentine Politics and Society option, which covers these matters as they relate to Argentina 's political and social situation.
